From perception to transcriptional regulation: an analysis of mutants affected in the UV-B signaling pathway in plant

Roman Podolec portrait

I am very pleased and honored to receive a iGE3 PhD Salary Award. I am grateful to the committee for their interest for my project, which aims to better understand the regulation of the signaling cascade by which plants perceive and respond to solar UV-B light to optimize their growth. I feel a great responsibility for being part of the iGE3 organization. It motivates me even more to pursue my research, a work that I like very much. I would like to thank my supervisor, Prof. Roman Ulm for his support and for all his help to develop this project. I also thank my fellow lab members and all our collaborators for creating a stimulating and constructive environment.
