Metal Homeostasis and Antibiotic Resistance
Our research delves into the intricate interplay between metal homeostasis, antibiotic resistance, and the virulence of the critical pathogen Pseudomonas aeruginosa. We also investigate the pivotal roles of metals such as zinc (Zn) and copper (Cu) in host-pathogen interactions, using macrophage cultures to examine dynamic shifts in metal homeostasis. Furthermore, we are dedicated to discovering novel antimicrobial molecules and developing innovative strategies to combat bacterial growth and resistance.
