Developmental neurobiology and plasticity
My research interest is in the understanding the molecular/genetic programs that control proper cortical connectivity.
More specifically, I am interested in understanding how distinct subtypes of forebrain neurons are programmed during development to establish their unique connectivity, and how these programs could be manipulated to promote re-wiring and functional recovery in neurodegenerative diseases or after injury.
